For over 15 years, Zone Marketing Group Founder and President, Dennis Pitselis has been pushing the limits in Relationship Marketing and Event Marketing to deliver results for his clients. Starting back in university, Dennis sharpened his strategic thinking skills and goal-oriented focus as an Academic All Canadian quarterback at Concordia University, leading the Stingers football team to three consecutive playoff appearances including a Conference Championship in 1993. Dennis went on to become a professional quarterback in France’s American Football League.
Dennis’ tenacious drive to outthink and outperform the competition helped him to establish his mark in both sports and business. Early in his career, Dennis cut his teeth developing and executing innovative relationship marketing programs for major brands including Canadian Tire, TD Financial, Bank of Nova Scotia, Uniglobe Travel and The Co-operators. In 2002, Dennis accepted a senior role at an intensely busy event marketing company where he quickly discovered an opportunity to combine Direct Marketing with Event Marketing to positively influence consumer behaviour and generate a measurable ROI from events. Through extensive testing and analyzing years of case studies, Dennis formulated a portfolio of techniques and systems that consistently delivered results.
Since launching Zone Marketing Group in 2006, Dennis has further evolved his proven approach, attracting clients such as Kia, Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Honda, Acura, Mazda, Volvo, Lincoln and Infiniti. His passion for the business is only matched by his passion for football; now shared with his wife Cynthia and their two young future all-stars, Zacharias and Brooklyn.

With over 16 years of experience in advertising, marketing and communications, Kurt has learned that a successful program is all about the details. Starting his career at a large global ad agency, Kurt was thrown into the hypercompetitive world of automotive brands. Kurt earned his stripes working in the trenches and grew to head up the production of many complex projects integrating brochures, sales training materials, POP, product cards and CD/DVDs, plus image database management and archiving. More recently, Kurt has added new media to his skill set, overseeing the development of websites, training courses, CRM databases, direct marketing and email campaigns.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of Zone Marketing Group with button-down accuracy, Kurt’s extensive experience working with clients at all levels helps him to consistently satisfy the diverse needs that Zone Marketing clients demand. His client base over the years has included major brands including General Motors, Nissan, Infiniti, Kia, Ford, Lincoln, Air Miles, Trimark Sportswear Group and Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation. Whether Kurt is hanging out with his family or riding his motorcycle, you always know he’s thinking about some little detail that will make the experience that much better.
Doug Pearn
Director of Strategic Planning
Direct: 416-648-9655
dpearn@zonemarketinggroup.ca
Passion for vehicles of all kinds has shaped most of Doug’s automotive marketing career. With over 22 years of experience working on the agency and client side, he led teams that launched some of the most popular vehicles and brands in Canada, including Mazda’s wildly popular ‘ZOOM-zoom’. He became a true student of the business when he worked inside the Chrysler Canada offices in Windsor Ontario. From there he frequently attended platform team meetings at Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. During this time, he witnessed history in the making when the merger with Daimler was announced to all Chrysler staff. In fact, he still has one of the commemorative ‘Swatch’ watches produced to mark the landmark event.
No stranger to living out of a suitcase, he has worked with automobile dealer groups in every major market in Canada, helping them to align their messaging with the overall brand direction to drive retail sales. As Assistant Director of Marketing at Kia Canada, he led a special interdepartmental task force to co-ordinate the launch of the Kia Soul. An early sales success, Soul continues to be one of Kia Canada’s top selling nameplates. Between client projects he also finds time to teach advertising agency operations and strategic planning to the next generation of marketers at Centennial College in Toronto. When Doug isn’t teaching, writing or speaking about the automobile business, he and his wife Marilyn can be found at their boat making ready for another vacation trip down the Trent-Severn waterway.
